Quvenzhane Wallis just secured her very first weekly TV gig. In January, 2019 she will join the cast of ABC’s sitcom Black-ish.
According to the publication Deadline, “Quvenzhane will play the role of Kyra, Dre’s younger cousin who comes to stay with family for a while when her mother is unable to take of her.”
Miss Wallis received her claim to fame in 2012, when she was nominated for Best Actress Oscar for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild at the tender age of 9. Quvenzhane became the youngest actress to have been nominated for the award. In 2014, she starred in the hugely successful remake of the classic film Annie, playing alongside Jamie Foxx.
